  2. Take your dried fish bodies and place them in a bowl of water. Make sure that the water is completely clean and allow them to be submerged for around 30 minutes each. This is a way of tenderizing your fish so that it will be more supple to cook.
  3. Once your fish feels nice and tender, place them in between some kitchen towels so that they absorb all of the water.  Once your fish feel dry, rinse them again to get rid of any debris that might have accumulated on the fish itself.
  4. When you have rinsed this fish’s skin, then we would recommend that you scrape some of the scales to get rid of any dirt that might be hiding under the surface.

Cooking Your Dried Fish

  1. Put 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a frying pan or skillet and heat over a medium strength. Tilt the pan so that the oil coats the entire underside. Once this is done, you can add your fish ready for the fry.
  2. When you put the fish in, turn up the heat until the oil in the pan is crackling. Make sure that your pan has a thick bottom so that the fish will not stick.
  3. Make sure that when you are cooking your fish that you are turning them regularly, again, this is to avoid the fish sticking to the bottom of the pan and getting burned.
